Each year, through the Development Office, The Supreme Council solicits donations from private individuals for the Scottish Rite Foundation, USA, Inc. The funds raised are used to provide start up funds for new RiteCare Childhood Language Program facilities and to support operations of existing facilities, to provide scholarships to students getting degrees in speech pathology and public administration, and to help victims of natural disasters.  We now have RiteCare Childhood Language Program facilities in each state in the Southern Jurisdiction and more are in the planning stage. Many children are helped every year. The Foundation also pledged $1,000,000 for scholarships and retraining for the families of victims of the 9/11 disaster. Over 17 people to date have received these scholarships, which are administered through the Families of Freedom Fund of Scholarship America. Additional scholarships were awarded to young students through the Shepherd scholarship program. The Development Office welcomes inquiries from individuals interested in finding out more about how to make a gift in support of these endeavors.
